Law and Social Change

Law and Social Change is an ILSP initiative that focuses on the dynamic relationships among individuals, institutions, and legal systems. The initiative seeks to foster a discussion about how law can be used to create social change and solve pressing problems as well as how the law responds to social demands.  We are interested in all areas of the law that relate to social change in the Muslim world, with a particular focus on human rights, women’s rights, children’s rights, minority rights, animal welfare and rights, constitutional law, food law, environmental law and climate change in particular, migration and refugee studies, LGBTQ issues, and related areas.
